Part of the Swiss FEGA team is back from Prague after a 2-day productive workshop with the Czech team in charge of setting up a federated EGA node in the Czech Republic.
As part of the ELIXIR Staff Exchange programme, the Swiss team gladly shared insights into the organizational, legal, and technical requirements essential for establishing a FEGA node, helping the Czech team develop a minimum viable product that demonstrates end-to-end service capabilities and facilitates integration within the federated EGA network.
Looking forward to the 2nd workshop, where the Czech team will be hosted in Switzerland to assess progress since the initial workshop, and discuss common plans for further infrastructure development with compatibilities towards the European Genomic Data Infrastructure (GDI) project.
